Q: What are Dental Implants?

Q: Can anybody be an implant patient?
A: Good health and adequate bone are the most critical factors in evaluating implants candidates. Implant patients can be in their teens (Boys > 18 ; Girls > 16) or  adults even in their 70's and 80's.

Q: How long do implant procedures take?
A: To place an implant may range from an hour or more depending on the type of implant procedure necessary. The teeth can be fixed over the implant immediately or after a few months as the case may require.

Q: Are dental implants expensive?
A: Dental implants are cost effective. They represent a more permanent and natural solution than dentures and partials. These advantages far outweigh the initial investment in the long term.

Q: Is it painful?
A: Your specialist will use the anesthetic procedure appropriate to you and pain will not be a problem. You will also be given appropriate instructions and medications so there won’t be any discomfort.

Q: How do I take care of my implant?
A: A personalized program will be designed for you to optimally care for your new teeth. Proper routine home care and professional maintenance and evaluation visits are required.
